Sun Community Health (SCH) is a National Non-Governmental organization that has been established in Myanmar since January 1, 2022.
SCH envisions a future for Myanmar that is covered with a universal healthcare, and one where all Myanmar families have the power, opportunity, and ability to access the healthcare when they need without financial hardship.
SCH has been engaging with a range of health care providers including private health providers and community-based health workers to deliver much-needed primary care to low income and vulnerable populations. The capacity of providers is upgraded with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs, and SCH distributes quality products with free or subsidized prices directly to the end users and through the providers. Regular monitoring, feedback collection and evaluation are conducted to ensure the services delivered by the participating providers are at quality standards. SCH has abundant experiences in implementing provider behavior change activities designed to achieve desired behaviors in service provision, and SCH has similarly implemented social, and behavior change campaigns designed to increase demand for available services.
