Sundar Studio brings to Aotearoa, the absolute best of ancient Indian craftsmanship. We collaborate with artisans across a spectrum of traditional techniques such as block printing, perfumery and intricate handwoven textile production. The starting point for Sundar Studio is to help preserve and sustain the diverse craft traditions of India and to do so in a way that is good for the lands and peoples of India and Aotearoa. Where possible, we maximise the handmade element in our products - valuing the organic process of an artisan’s skill over machined perfection.
