Sundog

Sundog is a game development studio led by industry veterans in cooperation with the Nobel Prize-winning author, Olga Tokarczuk. Sundog has secured a co-funding agreement with Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (Polska Agencja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości) to develop an R&D project titled "Development of a system for creating nonlinear RPGs in Unreal Engine 5, allowing for the creation of psychologically coherent characters whose decisions will reflect their implied psyche, based on research in game studies, psychology, and AI technology (LLM)", as part of the European Funds for a Modern Economy program, "SMART Path". Project no. FENG.01.01-IP.02-2061/23 co-funded by the European Union through the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027. Total project value: PLN 23,161,453.22 EU funding contribution: PLN 16,686,789.20 The aim of the project is to conduct industrial research and experimental development to create an innovative system used for the creation of nonlinear role-playing games (RPGs). The system will be developed in Unreal Engine 5, based on research in game studies, psychology, and artificial intelligence technologies (LLM). The InteGra system will enable the creation of psychologically coherent characters, whose decisions will reflect their implied inner life. The system will allow for more immersive gameplay, providing personalized experiences. Its implementation will positively impact Sundog's game development process, helping accelerate the creation of future titles.
