Sunslider is a photo- and video-sharing app that puts *you* back at the center of the social network. The company is designed to avoid the pitfalls of earlier social networks: - privileging content from your community rather than influencers or promoted ads; - offering users the choice between a low-cost annual subscription or a no-tracking, low-data, ad-supported version; - avoiding venture capital to stay focused on users and employees over the long-term; - providing an escape from the politics and decisions of Meta and Mark Zuckerberg. Our goal is to build the Patagonia of social networks: a sustainable, conscientious member of our local and global societies.
