Activity
Sunsundegui was established in 1944 in Irún, close to the French border. Sunsundegui’s main activity was based on the repair of wooden train wagons, basically for RENFE (Spanish Railway Company). In the year 1987, already placed in Alsasua (Navarra), with almost 100.000 square meter’s facilities, the company got involved in the field of bus and coach bodywork building. For the Export Markets vehicles are manufactured on Volvo chassis and marketed by the different Volvo Bus organisations in each country.
Together with the bus and coach manufacturing business, the company has, as well, active its Railway Division, dedicated to the manufacturing of intercity trains.
