SUNU Assurances Ghana Limited (Formerly Equity Assurance Ghana Limited) was given approval by the National Insurance under the act 206 (Act 724) on 28th. February 2008 to operate as a Non-Life Insurer and in May of the same year opened its doors to underwrite all lines of General Insurance Business. SUNU Group is a Pan-African conglomerate with an extensive network in fourteen (14) countries namely Bénin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Centrafrique, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Guinée, Libéria, Mali, Niger, Nigéria, Sénégal and Togo. In addition, it Underwrite Insurances for Oil and Gas, Aviation, Contractors’ All Risk and Factory All – Risk. The company is a member of Ghana Insurance Association (GIA) as well as West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA).
