With cutting-edge technology, STS has developed portable traffic signals & intelligent workzone devices that changes the way road construction is managed. Our Technology Enabled Smart Signal (TESS) systems and patented Real-Time Traffic Management System use technology and innovation to safely manage traffic and work zones in real time. Superior Traffic Services and their Real-Time Traffic Management system is the result of a partnership between Montana natives Jeff Hollenback and Jonathan Walther. Mr. Hollenback has 33 years of experience in providing Traffic Control Services to contractors working in the State and Federal Highway construction market. His companies owned and operated one of the largest fleets of Portable Traffic Signals in the country. Jonathan Walther worked in the aerospace industry for a number of years before embarking on a 23-year career at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he was a Cognizant Design Engineer on NASA’s Deep Space Network, involved with the remote monitor and control of spacecraft. Wow! In 2007, Mr. Walther brought these skills to the portable traffic signal industry where he and Mr. Hollenback founded Superior Traffic Services which is developing a family of increasingly sophisticated traffic control devices, culminating with the patented Real Time Traffic Management System. All STS signal devices come equipped with the STS TESS LTC Controller and standard issue redundant radar & video detection, dual webcams, and triple redundant communication between devices. With the RTTMS, these standard features make 24/7 Real-Time configuration, programming, system-status monitoring and live viewing of traffic and work zones a walk in the park. Superior Traffic Services has set the new standard for intelligent Portable Traffic Signal Control systems.
