Supp provides a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their short films and generate funds. SUPP exists to support local creatives by providing a platform for them to publish their short films, get exposure and generate revenue. This is by means of an innovative, world-class VOD [Video on Demand] streaming site which bridges the gap between emerging film makers and their audience. SUPP closes the loop for independent producers - allowing them to earn income from their work. Significant resources were invested in development of the site to ensure excellent media performance as well giving attention to the user experience with various unique enhancements to add value. Registered local filmmakers earn 60% of the revenue generated from views and their membership is free. SUPP is designed to make uploading films simple and new films are uploaded daily for review. These curated productions are available to paying subscribers. Viewers not only get to enjoy fresh local films, the but also play a part as patrons in nurturing talent and keeping creativity alive in our country. The name SUPP is short for support as it was born out of a desire to assist those in the film and entertainment industry severely affected when the pandemic threatened their livelihood in 2020. Going forward, the aim is to continue supporting and nurturing South African talent by providing a place where film makers can grow and flourish. Our goal is to advance the local film industry and in so doing, aid job creation.
