Support Buff LA was founded in 2023 by Iris Zhang, a queer woman of color engineering lead who was motivated by the class action settlement she received through her employer to give back to the games community. It is currently an entirely self-funded, grassroots, non-sponsored endeavor. Ticket sales and donations go directly towards covering current and future event costs.
