Surface Solutions is a supplier of high-performance, PVD coatings. PVD coatings offered include: titanium nitride (TiN), titanium carbo-nitride (TiCN), aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN), chromium nitride (CrN), and Alpha™. Physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings are extremely hard and wear resistant. When these PVD coatings are applied to industrial tools, tool life is increased by 2 - 10 times longer compared to an uncoated tool. This results in our customers getting $10 to $100 back for every dollar spent on coatings. Typical types of tools being coated are cutting tools, punches and dies, injection molds, forming tools, wear components and medical devices.
