SURTES EC

SURTES Et Cetera are student-run racing teams from the University of Surrey. Established in 2009 Team SURTES have built a range of cars including ICE and EV, making a return to ICE for the 23/24 academic year with the new identity of SURTES EC. With the aims to highlight sustainability, SURTES EC will run this years car off of sustainable fuels. Comprising of members from all years and all degrees, SURTES provides the base to develop key personal attributes and industry-related skills, used in developing, manufacturing of a single-seat racing car. SURTES also takes pride in the Creative, Business and Management side of the motorsport industry, boosting the team to the next level and preparing students for a future in motorsport by providing a realistic racing team experience. History: 2009: 3rd fastest UK car in the acceleration event. 2015: 5th best UK team, 12th best Overall. 2018: Most Improved Class 2 Car. 2019: Best UK EV team, 11th overall, top 10 in the acceleration event, Most Efficient Car. 2020: Overall Virtual Dynamic Events winner, 2nd place Virtual Endurance
