The vast majority of quantitative market research is now undertaken via online surveys, but they are well known for harbouring bad practice and leading to participant frustration, that can undermine data quality and credibility. SurveyScore has been designed by experienced industry professionals with the aim of raising standards and addressing the problem of declining response rates. SurveyScore is a simple, low cost, fair and easy to understand performance metric, based on an adaptation of the Net Promoter Score. Feedback from participants at one additional question generates a score that can be compared to relevant benchmarks as well as analysed at company and industry level, with intuitive dash-boarding allowing research buyers and suppliers to see how their surveys and project partners perform, and how to improve.
