SusPoT - Center for Sustainability

SusPoT – Center for Sustainability is a Non-Profit Think-&-Do Tank incorporated with a mission to empower decision makers in developing inclusive sustainability strategies and implementing action plans towards achieving climate-neutral transition of the Indian economy. SusPoT's purpose is to fast-pace the integration of sustainability goals into decision making through policy research, capacity building and advisory. At present, SusPoT engages with policy makers, entrepreneurs, youth and farmers to empower them by developing actionable knowledge portals, conducting policy research on climate friendly technologies, building capacity development programs on sustainability and climate change, offering sustainability advisory and promoting regenerative agricultural practices. SusPoT is one of the very few Indian Think Tanks that is founded and led by youth. SusPoT was incubated by the Clean Energy Lab in 2018 – an initiative by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and Indian School of Business (Hyderabad) to support early stage civil society organizations with big innovative ideas that can create research and evidence based policy impact in India’s clean energy space. The activities at SusPoT contribute towards multiple United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly – Clean Water (Goal 6) and Energy (7), Sustainable Economic Growth (8) and Industrialization (9), Inclusive Communities (11), Responsible Consumption and Production (12), Climate Action (13) and Partnerships for Sustainable Development (17). At SusPoT, we strongly believe that real change always starts from inside-out, and only the organizations built on core sustainability principles can bring about a genuine transformation in the society.
