Sustainable Circular IT

An Australian LinkedIn special interest group, hosted by Ewaste Watch Institute, that enables businesses and organisations make their buying, selling, repairing, remarketing and donating of technology more sustainable and circular through sharing knowledge, expertise, information and building lasting networks. The purpose of the group is to increase the understanding and uptake of circular and sustainable technology principles and actions amongst professionals in businesses and organisations (including government agencies) involved in buying (procurement), managing, selling, repairing and donating technology products and services throughout their lifecycle. The group aims to explore the value and commercial opportunities created by being more sustainable and circular in managing technology products and services. Including the immediate and future environmental and social benefits (ESG) that can be achieved by prolonging the life of technology products and cloud services such as reducing e-waste to landfill, reducing greenhouse gases and closing the digital divide.
