Sustainable Planet is a European Agri-Food Tech company with the goal to combat food insecurity and climate change using sustainable agriculture technology. Our emphasis is the use of plant protein from water lentils.
Water lentils do not require any arable land, the biomass doubles every 24 hours and the plant contains more nutritional value and protein than soy beans, peas, spirulina or chlorella.
For the production, the company is focusing on African countries, where plenty of land is available. The climate conditions in certain African countries are perfect to grow the plant. We are active already in Egypt, Mozambique and Abu Dhabi. Sustainable Planet has signed contracts with local partners and governments and started the first operations. Tests have come out very positive.
The project will create thousands of jobs and can also involve and support small holding farmers.
Sustainable Planet‘s green initiative is focused on growing water lentils (45% protein) scaled at industrial level, an opportunity for the region to secure food.
