Sustainable Industrial Design of Textile Structures for Composites (SustDesignTex) is a twinning project awarded under the European Commission Horizon Europe programme. The project is coordinated by Lodz University of Technology (TUL)(Poland), and University of Borås (Sweden), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), University of Zaragoza (Spain), and Wademekum company (Poland) are partners of the project.
The main goal of the project is to establish a long-term strategic partnership between TUL (Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design), top-class leading counterpart universities at the EU level, and the Polish company in the area of industrial design of innovative textile structures for composites through research networking activities. The research activities of the SustDesignTex project will focus on designing innovative textile structures used in lightweight composite structures, like drones or aircraft components, and in other automotive industries.
