Our History:
Sutter Medical Group brings more than 25 years of dedication and medical expertise to the community. In 1984, 22 physicians founded a physician-owned and governed, for-profit group known as Sacramento Sierra Medical Group. In 1992, Sacramento Sierra Medical Group joined the Sutter Medical Foundation, an affiliate of Sutter Health, a not-for-profit integrated health care system serving Northern California. The group subsequently changed its name to Sutter Medical Group, reflecting its close association with the Sutter Medical Foundation.
