Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit

Founded by Sutton Coldfield parents in 2013, the Unit quickly became a popular weekly escape point for local children. Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit (SCAU as it is affectionately known locally) is led by over 50 local adult volunteers - 14 of whom sit as Trustees on the Executive Group. The charity sets out to transform young lives through weekly adventure activities and personal development, whilst guiding them to be active within their communities as young Changemakers. During its first 10 years, SCAU has seen hundreds of young people join and has successfully operated 7 international camps - the last being to France in 2022 was our biggest yet with over 100 young people having an experience of their lives.
