Seattle University’s Vietnamese Student Association is a student-led, cultural club operating within the articles and bylaws of the Student Government of Seattle University (SGSU). SU VSA was founded by Vietnamese-American college students to empower fellow peers to promote unity and bridge the gap between Vietnamese and Vietnamese-American traditions through leadership and community.
While also operating under the Northwest Vietnamese Student Associations (NWVSA), SU VSA remains independent and autonomous in upholding the regional mission statement, as well as, SU VSA’s mission statement within the Seattle University community and the Greater Seattle Area. SU VSA’s success is attributed to Seattle University’s overall curriculum being dedicated to educating the whole person and to empowering student leaders for a just and humane world.
