Sri Vishweshathirtha Memorial Hospital

Sri Vishweshathirtha Memorial Hospital is an upcoming charity hospital at Marathahalli established by by Sri Krishna Sevashrama Trust The trust was founded by Sri Vishweshathirtha Swamji who was a great visionary and social reformer. He established the first charity hospital in Jayanagar way back in 1962 which has grown up to become a 75 bedded community hospital offering affordable healthcare to millions of poor people. In view of his concern for the poor and selfless service to the common man, the Karnataka Government offered 2 acres of land at Marathahalli to establish a similar facility which would serve the poor patients from this part of the city and surrounding villages. The construction of the hospital began a few years ago and is now ready for commissioning. The outpatient services will commence from 15th November and inpatient care will follow soon after. Most of the equipment has been procured and the manpower recruiting has also started. The plan is to develop it as a 150 bedded multi specialty hospital offering affordable healthcare while maintaining the quality of care. The current president of the trust Sri Vsihwaprasannathirtha Swamiji is to carry forward the mission to ensure that the vision of his Guru and mentor becomes a reality.
