SweatDuet's mission is to motivate teens to stay sustainably fit and active through accountability and social connection. Exercise has been difficult due to the pandemic, especially due to the lack of social connection. People cannot work out at gyms, they can't play group-sports with their friends, and it's very difficult to exercise, let alone leave the house. This leaves many people unmotivated to exercise, due to a lack of accountability and social connection.
SweatDuet aims to reignite both of these factors in the minds and bodies of teens (our target audience) by partnering them in partnerships of two and giving them daily exercise challenges to complete. Partnerships compete with one another over the SweatDuet Leaderboard. The key here is that partnerships will NOT earn their daily streak EXCEPT when BOTH partners complete the challenge. This forces partners to be accountable to one another and push them to finish their daily challenges.
On the way, they get to work collaboratively with their partner and make friends with them, solving the issue of social connection. We have partnerships that have held a streak of 71 days of consecutive exercising and they're still going.
SweatDuet can entirely end issues such as motivation, accountability, and social connection for teen fitness and help teenagers stay fit for the long-term.
