SWEEP is a pioneering partnership dedicated to scaling sustainable waste management solutions in refugee camps and displacement settings. By integrating green job creation, we empower displaced people and their host communities while fostering environmental resilience. Bringing together the expertise of: ✅ WASTE.nl (Technical Lead) – Experts in sustainable waste management. ✅ Danish Refugee Council (DRC) (Humanitarian Lead) – Leaders in humanitarian aid and refugee protection. ✅ Last Mile Climate (Partnership Lead) – Specialists in environmental partnerships and infrastructure. Starting in Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps in Kenya, SWEEP builds multi-stakeholder collaborations, engaging private sector waste companies, refugee-led organizations, UN agencies, and governments to create scalable, globally adaptable waste management models.
