Swiss Academy for Development

The Swiss Academy for Development (SA4D) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1991. We use sport and play to promote children and young people’s development and support them in becoming active and engaged members of their communities, internationally and in Switzerland. With our projects, we contribute to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All of our projects are implemented in partnership with local organisations, following the principles of inclusion and participation. We focus on solid monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) as an integral part of our participatory and results-based project cycle management (PCM). SA4D is based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland and is ZEWO certified (Swiss seal of quality for not-for-profit organisations).
