Swordtales

Swordtales is an independent game development studio based in Porto Alegre and responsible for the award winning game Toren. Toren is an adventure game with an introspective atmosphere, which tells the story of a young Princess born and imprisoned in an old tower. She needs to climb to the top to find her salvation. The more she moves forward on her journey the faster she gets older and more dangers she must face. The game was one of the highlights in the art category at the biggest independent games festival in the world in 2011 (IGF), it won 2 awards at the Brazil Game Show and was one of the first games to receive support from the Ministry of Culture through the Rouanet Law.
