The conference is a continuation of a series of traditional /Czech and Slovak /meetings "Symposium on Catalysis" started in 1969. The symposium is held every year in November and covers all topics of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. The main aim of the symposium is to bring together people with scientific interests including the study of catalytic processes, reactions and catalytic applications. Contributions on related topics are also welcome. The community of scientists working on catalysis in the Czech Republic is not very large, so I think it makes sense to meet and get to know the work of colleagues who study or use catalytic processes. You can meet interesting people, find common interests and get inspiration and new ideas for your work from other areas of catalysis. Each year the Symposium programme includes invited plenary lectures by leading experts and recognised scientists in the field of catalysis, mainly from abroad. This provides an introduction to global trends and advances in the field of catalysis. The concept is complemented by invited keynote lectures from leading groups or laboratories dealing with catalysis in the Czech Republic. The aim of these lectures is to present the current directions of scientific research in our country and to provide this link with experts from abroad. The conference will also provide space for oral and poster presentations.
