Companies buy patents for defensive purposes, but sometimes also with intention to enforce them against 1-2 of their competitors. Their rest of their enforceability is wasted. SynPat allows you to carve out what you need at a fraction of the alternative price.
We have 12 Market categories, and both types of products are offered at the same fixed Dollar prices, on a portfolio basis. Prices are changing from COST PRICE, to REGULAR PRICE, to VALIDATED PRICE, depending on the time of acquisition. The longer you wait, the more validated our portfolio becomes and the lower your risk of buying rights under invalid patents.
The COST PRICE is determined during the acquisition of the underlying portfolio. For each acquisition, SynPat creates an ad-hoc syndicate in which the purchase price is equally shared pro-rata to the number of rights each participant acquires. The more attractive the patents are, the fewer companies needed to crowdfund its acquisition, and the higher the license’ COST PRICE. The license REGULAR PRICE is automatically set at 50% above the COST PRICE, and is available during the first four months from the patent acquisition. The VALIDATED PRICE is equal to twice the regular price and is available for as long as the patents are owned by SynPat.
Funding via customers ensures that 1) only desired patents are acquired, 2) prices are market driven and reasonable, and 3) our business is fair and non-discriminatory.
