Syntese A/S is a part of a Ferring Group and we are a word-leading manufacturer of 5-aminosalicylic acid - Mesalazine. It is an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient used by the pharmaceutical industry in formulations for a treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) i.e. Ulcerative Colitis, Crohns Disease.
Syntese has developed its own manufacturing method (chemical synthesis) of 5-ASA and implemented it for full-scale production in compliance with cGMP.
Today Mesalazine is manufactured in multi-tons per year in the company’s highly automated production facility in Hvidovre, industrial outskirts of Copenhagen.
Having more than 30 years experience in product- and process development Syntese guarantees its customers not only product of the highest quality but also an extensive R&D support and comprehensive regulatory compliance.
Syntese carries Certificate of Suitability; European DMF; Canadian DMF; US DMF and is FDA approved. Company’s focus on safety and environment is expressed in Annual Environmental Reports and received County Environmental Award.
