System Changer Network Kenya - SCN Kenya

The System Changer Network (SCN) Kenya is a network of trust, comprising 9 core NGOs who are located in various counties in Kenya. As SCN we work in rural and urban areas and with people across different genders, ages and roles. We discover innovative ways of implementing solutions that tackle various basic needs of under-served communities in a more holistic way - from clean water to nutrition, from (animal) health to hygiene, from income generating solutions and basic business/digital skills to mental wellbeing and cultural houses, from environment to infrastructural support, from women to men, from youth to aged. We believe that multiple challenges in which people at the poverty line live (e.g. access to clear water and more health, gender violence, better health, teenage mothers and marginalization) cannot be solved by a single organisation or specific solutions for specific topics only. It is our goal to enable people to grow “from victims to heroes“, to give them real chances to get out of the poverty cycle - in many ways. Multiple challenges need multiple solutions - in parallel, at the right time and location and based on the concrete needs. Communities and people grow in different ways with different needs depending very concretely on the surrounding, ages and other influencing factors. That’s why we act based on needs. It’s not about change making, but change engineering as a whole. It is not about our focus and about what We can solve, but about THEM - bringing together the right solutions and solution makers, at the right time to the right place! We invest in exchange structures, share skills| trainings, measure how we network (SCN index), include innovative social entrepreneurial solutions, employers from international companies, Academia, local authorities as active players… the SCN builds a first “cell of change”. Many interconnected cells can build a real pattern of change across the world. We look for partners and funders who believe in more!
