Rana Atilgan is a Turkish-American businesswoman and founder of EllaTrade Consultancy. Educated at the University of London, she specialized in film and television studies, gaining extensive training in video production, directing, and scriptwriting. After returning to Turkey, Rana began her career as an executive producer at TRT, where she created and produced successful music shows, documentaries, and talk shows. Her programs, such as “Above the Line” and “Extraordinary,” featured prominent guests and gained high ratings. Rana became the first executive producer to transition to Turkey's private television sector, working at Star TV and HBB TV. She continued to produce top-rated shows, earning recognition as a leading figure in the Turkish media industry. Notably, her interviews with political figures like Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Eduard Shevardnadze were groundbreaking. In 2002, Rana moved to New York, where she represented a Turkish newspaper at the United Nations and managed various businesses, including a textile company and a luxury restaurant. After her husband’s passing in 2015, she took full control of their ventures and later established Ranamax Global Corporation and Star Bistro. In 2019, Rana returned to London to found EllaTrade Consultancy, expanding her business endeavors.
