Established in 2009, T3 Index is a research-driven provider that specializes in developing innovative volatility and option related indices across asset classes. In Feb 2019, T3 Index in partnership with MIAX launched options on the SPIKES Volatility Index, a measure of the expected 30-day volatility in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY). SPIKES is built using the popular variance swap methodology and uses live option prices to calculate volatility.
