Taasa Orphan Program, (TOP)

Taasa Orphan Program is a non-profit organization whose main calling and goal is to reach the dejected, orphans, the needy and abandoned children. After being exposed to extreme poverty and devastating war in Uganda, we, the directors of the Taasa Orphan Program, have decided to start an orphanage and a destitute children's home, with the intention of giving those innocent children caught in the crossfire and plagued by war and disease, a new chance for a meaningful life. We are convinced that misfortune and poverty leading to a lack of education lead to a loss of opportunities where individuals would have used their Natural-given abilities for personal improvement and for the good of society at large. There is a lot of wasted talent in Africa, as the talented people are often denied the opportunity to fully utilize their abilities. An example is a skilled football player who is hungry, sick or not sleeping anywhere. He will put football aside and look for medicines, food or shelter. But if there is someone to take care of food, medication, and shelter, football skill comes fully to the benefit of the entire universe. Long-Term Impact: We raise children who are orphaned and unwanted, who would otherwise scream at this moment to survive in the dangerous streets of Kampala, there are others from broken families, or from homes that have been drastically affected by calamities due to domestic problems such as polygamy. We take them up with open loving arms, which give them a decent education and a house of love. The idea is to give them access to the best available settings until the Taasa Orphan Program is able to build some of our own. Up to now, we have had tremendous success in caring for and shaping the lives of many talented young people who now contribute to improving our society. Our wish is that this wonderful work does not stop here, but continues everywhere. God bless you Abundantly.
