About TAFL Center, Alexandria University

TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language) was established in 1985 by the University of Alexandria, as a response to the demand put forward by the Arabic Departments of European and other international Universities. TAFL receives students from all over the world and has signed co-operation agreements with many universities in the United States of America, Spain, France, Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Some of these Universities are SOAS, Westminster, Durham, Middlebury, West Michigan, IFSA, Daito Bunka, Fulbright, and Georgetown. In addition, private/individual students who are granted fellowships by Universities, governments, or organizations have been served by TAFL. Some of these students came from Sweden, Japan, Korea, Russia, Germany, Spain, and many more. TAFL offers a unique experience for its students; they will be given the opportunity to get a first-hand experience of the language as it is used by its native speakers. We have recently been serving more than 600 students from all over the world.
