Tagalikha

OUR PURPOSE Tagalikha’s purpose is to create community spaces for Filipino/xs to explore the culture of the diaspora and motherland through creativity. OUR VISION Through Tagalikha, Filipino/xs globally will be empowered to use creativity beyond optics, wielding it as a tool to take actions of solidarity across physical and cultural borders. WHY WE EXIST In 2017, Tagalikha started out of a need for Filipino community in creative spaces where we seemed absent. It began as a blog, where three Filipinas interviewed Filipino creatives across NYC. We have since evolved into a small team who cultivate community spaces for Filipinos all over the world, where we teach each other, chika and explore our culture and identities using creativity. We are always evolving to the needs of our community and our volunteer-run team. Watch this space for updates as we grow.
