Illumina and The University of Melbourne have partnered to create a biomedical and economic powerhouse for Australia—The Advanced Genomics Collaboration. TAGC enables multi-disciplinary collaborations to use the power of genomics to create world-leading, commercially successful biomedical projects and businesses that make healthcare more effective, efficient and affordable for everyone. TAGC is helping to enable greater levels of genomics research and clinical trials throughout the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct by providing our collaborators with access to faster, more affordable genome sequencing, global-scale bioinformatics and insightful health economics resources. TAGC is committed to helping all our collaborators use genomics to improve health for everyone while supporting the creation of commercially successful biotech businesses through access to Illumina's team of industry and commercialisation experts.
