Taggr was a private photo sharing and backup platform that anticipated the modern visual cloud experience—years before Google Photos, iCloud, or AI-powered tagging became mainstream. Built on a simple insight—why can we search “pizza” on Google and see strangers eating it, but can’t instantly find photos of our own kids eating pizza?—Taggr introduced smart image recognition, tagging, and sharing before these were commonplace on mobile devices. Users could tag people, places, or events in their photos, and selectively share content with trusted contacts. For example, a grandparent could automatically receive every photo tagged with their grandchild’s name, without accessing unrelated content.
