We are a Durban-based business that handcrafts soaps using vegan butters, essentials oils and other vegan additives.
Over the years I have made soap mainly for family and friends and have gifted tons to family to test. My husband has supported me through this journey and has generously made most of my soap equipment, from drying racks, to soap cutters and soap mould boxes. I tend to do the visualising and he does the implementation and construction of equipment.
So, for now, we are a husband and wife team that focusses on making small batches of handcrafted soaps using quality, skin loving vegan oils and butters known for their nourishing qualities such as coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil and sweet almond oil, and many more.
Our soaping ingredients are carefully chosen to deliver the best possible results. Many happy hours have gone into formulating recipes and ensuring our products are as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. We hope you enjoy using them as much as we love making them.
We use pure essential oils for their scent and therapeutic value they innately add to the soap. Additives include natural clays, herbs and spices. I call this my Rustic and Natural collection where there are no synthetics or artificial ingredients used. Included in this range is a series of activated charcoal soaps combined with skin loving ingredients such as turmeric, natural clays and powders, and sea kelp.
We also make a range of soaps using skin safe micas and fragrances (purchased from reputable local soap suppliers in SA) to cater for those who enjoy a bit of flamboyance and flashiness in their soaps.
All products are proudly South African and made in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal at my soap studio. The beauty of making my own handcrafted soaps is that I know exactly what ingredients go into and onto my skin.
