Tailwind Energy was a privately-owned, start-up oil and gas company, founded in 2016, which grew a value-driven portfolio of UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) assets from zero to over 25kboed before being acquired by Serica Energy PLC in April 2023.
Our agile approach focused on working with partners to deliver technically advanced and cost-effective development and production of upstream assets. By combining years of industry knowledge and a fundamentally different approach to opportunity identification, we aimed to find and create value from the UKCS. In 2019 we generated $222 million in EBITDA, exiting with production of 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
We are driven by our core values of teamwork, trust and transparency. This underscores our attitude to industry operations and business development. It is in this spirit that Tailwind forges strong partnerships across the oil and gas sector and value-chain.
The four founding partners have now moved onto other ventures or retired from the industry.
