In partnership with Waikato Tainui we have refreshed the Open Waikato brand to reflect the evolution of the district’s economic opportunities. Our district has consistently led the way with an innovative approach to economic development in order to drive socio-economic prosperity for our communities. We are a small but agile team that are focused on the well-being of people and connecting local businesses with local people. We are guided by four strategic pillars: Investment and Attraction, Business Development and Sustainability, Sector Development and Workforce Development. These guide us to ultimately deliver the aspirations in Waikato 2070 our economic development and growth strategy and community blueprints and aspirations.
