About TALAWA
TALAWA is a Black-led collective of racialised students and young people envisioning the interconnected futures of Black feminism, climate justice and liberated education. The name TALAWA comes from the Jamaican patois phrase, “wi likkle but wi tallawah!” meaning, “we may be small but we are powerful”. Drawing from the Caribbean radical tradition, TALAWA focuses on our collective power to imagine new worlds.
