Essentially, TalentSchaft is building up a young Talent ecosystem that addresses the needs of fresh college graduates and those at the threshold of their professional lives. The importance of human capital as a source of economic growth appears to be increasing in all societies. The characteristics that are important in the development of human capital include the ability to acquire skills; in other words, to learn, to identify one’s learning needs, and to manage one’s learning. They also include the ability to understand how best to use these skills. In this wider context, it appears that many aspects of career guidance & skill assessment have the potential to contribute significantly to enable an eco-system for the development of human capital. Through this platform we aim to partner with institutes of learning to help them develop frameworks for Competence & Skill Assessment. Potential for positive social impact from such initiatives on the youth demographic range from enhancement of their mindsets towards learning and upskilling that helps to widen access to work opportunities, to inspiring youth towards achieving their economic empowerment and social inclusion and also helping the excluded to gain access to learning and work, thus enhancing social equity, inclusion and holistic human capital development.
