Talisva is a self-made dream with a purpose
It all began with one determined woman, Sushma Sanjay.
Her passion and endless curiosity grew a one-woman enterprise/journey into a thriving family-owned business. Today, Talisva encompasses a beautiful winery and areca estate that extends over 25 acres and produces small batches of delicious hand-crafted fruit wines. Their current favorites are jamun (java plum), grape, pineapple and betel leaf.
The Practice:
Started off as a hobby in 2005, forged on to become a spirited experimentation with fresh flavors and a commitment to a natural process. Seasonal fruits, vegetables and nuts were all tried and tested using no added flavors or colors.
By mid-2015, 10 delectable concoctions were established and 100 bottles of each were proudly for sale. In the next year, 1000 bottles of home fermented fruit wines simply flew off the kitchenette cupboard and the excitement grew.
The Result:
These unique wines gained popularity due to their taste; their presentation; and the focus on quality of the product. From 2019 through to 2020, Talisva came to life with the expansion from home to a shimmering property amidst Western Ghats and slowly grew to what it is today.

Music is a form of art that entwines delicate notes and rhythms to create grand symphonies. In a similar way, we craft the different elements in our fruit wines like hand-picking ingredients, appealing aroma and complex flavor to craft your perfect bottle.
Furthermore, Sva represents Sushma’s brave journey as a self-made entrepreneur. Today, there is a blossoming home-made wine scene in the Malnad region of Karnataka. Sushma’s journey inspires many by showing them how consistency in the quality and taste of her craft wine, helped her evolve into this flourishing business.
