The Talking Information Center (TIC) was established in 1978 and has been servicing the visually impaired and print impaired communities for 36 years. We broadcast our programming around the globe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! Access to our service is provided over an extensive network of radio and cable TV outlets in collaboration with our five affiliates across the state as well as streaming online. TIC operates with the help of more than 200 volunteers in our Marshfield, MA studio alone. We offer a variety of programs including Newspapers, consumer interests, NY Times Book lists, History, Sports (Men’s Interest) and more. To view a listing of programs by category, please click here. Each year, TIC provides live coverage of the Bay State Council of the Blind and National Federation of the Blind state conventions. In April 2014, we brought live coverage of the visually impaired division at the Boston marathon for the first time. In addition, we stream our audio on our web site, and we are now offering podcasts . Many of our listeners still listen by using special radio receivers tuned to the sub-carrier of local FM radio stations. For more information, please call us 1-800-696-9505.
