Why the name Talos?
It is a reference to the Greek Myth. Talos was a giant bronze man created by the God of invention (Hephaestus) to protect the island of Crete.
Many regard Talos as our first depiction of artificial life (AI). The story goes that Hephaestus filled Talos with a green ichor that gave him life. I see that ichor as Data and the tools Hephaestus used to create Talos as Technology.
Much like the story, you need all three functions working together to create a metaphorical giant bronze man that will protect and enhance your company.
So, when looking to hire a leader who will be controlling the direction of one of these functions, you also need to analyse the other two pillars (among other things) to be able to find the right person.
This concept is one of the core principles I had in mind while founding Talos.
