Access is the through-line at TDB Group. I created this company almost two decades ago as a way to answer the questions I began asking at age 14 about who got access and why they got access? I decided I would devote my career to creating access, though I had no idea what to call the work I was inspired to pursue. Only much later did I learn that it was called leadership development.
TDB Group has worked with hundreds of organizations and at the center of the work, access via leadership development has remained the key. Projects range from working with corporate client Cambridge Innovation Center to consider its ongoing diversity, equity and inclusion learning; to supporting the Compass Working Capital leadership team development, as they grow nationally to help families with low incomes to build assets to move out of poverty; to partnering with the Surdna Foundation to design a radically different grantmaking strategy to support community development with community voice at the center.
The company's newest work is dedicated to helping Gen Z to establish itself in the workplace. Through short and long-term residencies with corporations, educational, nonprofit and philanthropic institutions, TDB Group is helping to create the pathway for the next generation of leaders, while also supporting managers responsible for their training and performance review.
