Texas A&M Vertical Flight Society (VFS) is a student-led hub for vertical-flight innovation, proudly sponsored by Amazon. Within VFS, we house three flagship programs: the Vertical Flight Design Team (VFD)—where undergraduates design, prototype, and test next-generation eVTOL aircraft; UpLift, our outreach initiative that mentors underrepresented high-school students through hands-on aircraft builds; and eVAIR (eVTOL Autonomy and AI Research), which develops advanced autonomy algorithms and machine-learning systems to make tomorrow’s eVTOLs safer and smarter.
