The Master of Science Program in Instructional Design and Educational Technology (IDET) is oriented toward trainers, instructional designers, e-learning specialists, and teachers. Graduates effectively apply current and emerging technologies to solve learning and performance problems in varied training and school settings.
This master's program allows students a considerable amount of flexibility to explore areas of personal interest. As an IDET student, you will work with your faculty advisor to develop a program of study emphasizing the aspects of Educational Technology you wish to focus on in your career.
This degree can be taken in either of two delivery modes: online or resident-based. The online or resident-based delivery modes allow students to work with the faculty advisors to develop a program of study that emphasizes development of skills and knowledge in a specific aspect of instructional design and educational technology fitting to each student's learning and career goals in K-12, higher ed, or adult learning environments.
To complete the program in one year, take two courses during each of the year's six cycles. To complete the program in two years, take one course per cycle
