Financial Planning Program Texas A&M University

Located in College Station, Texas, within an approximate 150-mile radius of the state’s four largest metro areas (Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin) and a part of the largest university in the US, our Financial Planning Program sits in a unique space to connect students with the region’s top advisors and to provide advisors access to a diverse range of applicants hailing from across the state. The Texas A&M Financial Planning Program in the Department of Agricultural Economics is a flexible program that provides a comprehensive curriculum serving current undergraduate and graduate students, former students and working professionals. Our program is registered with the CFP Board of Standards, and students who complete a CFP Board-Registered Program are eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. Our courses are offered online and through traditional classroom delivery. A team-teaching concept involving practitioners and academics brings a unique mix of conceptual frameworks, practical knowledge, application, and rigor to students’ learning experiences. The overall focus is problem solving, applying financial planning principles to real life situations, and helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals.
