Texas A&M Solar Car Racing

We design, build, test, and race fully electric and solar-powered vehicles. Our goal is to compete in the Formula Sun Grand Prix (FSGP), American Solar Challenge (ASC), and World Solar Challenge(WSC) with a fully functional solar powered electric vehicle. We provide team members the opportunity to apply classroom principles to problem solving scenarios daily in a professional, fast-paced work environment. We educate team members on what can be achieved with renewable and sustainable technology. Finally, we mentor students to become experienced professionals that are poised to make an immediate impact in the workforce through their in-depth understanding of technical theory, manufacturing processes, and cost effectiveness.
