Vital, bio-diverse rich protected areas in Zimbabwe’s Zambezi Region need our urgent attention through conservation interventions that will bring about their security.
Wildlife Rangers on the frontlines of conservation, our Natural Forests and Wildlife face unprecedented challenges and threats as a result of climate change, socio-economic crises, and unsustainable illegal harvesting. Amongst other facets of Wildlife Protection, Tashinga Initiative addresses the enabling environment for Wildlife Rangers towards enhanced management of protected areas and wildlife populations. Working with its global network of partners and donors, Tashinga Initiative has contributed significantly towards a more secure environment for wildlife since 2006.
The Tashinga Initiative raises funds for wildlife protection from the global community, implements results-based projects informed by planning and budgets, with the expectation that each intervention is one step closer to the return of biodiversity to the area concerned. Our projects are implemented in the field with a high degree of efficiency and efficacy bringing true value to the donor and to the benefit of wildlife protection.
