Established in 2010 as a collaboration between two industry titans, TATA and Lockheed Martin, Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited (TLMAL) is a pioneer in developing global aerospace components in India. TLMAL started off its legacy through the C-130J Super Hercules Empennage and Center Wing Box programs, producing 175+ Empennages for C-130J aircrafts around the world over the past 10 years. TLMAL has been a global single supplier since the JV formation, playing a vital role in promoting the ‘Make in India’ & 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives for complex aerospace components by developing and integrating 500+ Indian suppliers. TLMAL has also brought advance technologies to India, including setting up a first of its kind ‘Metal-to-Metal’ bonding and composite manufacturing facility. In 2018, the organization took on the challenge of manufacturing global fighter wings at TLMAL, with successful certification in December 2021.
